Profile: Dunford Grove produces this beautifully high polyphenol small-batch extra virgin olive oils grown in the clear, dry climate of Central Otago, where warm summer days and cool nights help develop oils with bright aromatics and balanced structure. Carefully harvested and milled with attention to freshness, the oils reflect both the purity of the region and a commitment to traditional, artisan olive growing.
This special blend is the best of the grove's classic Tuscan cultivars including Frantoio, Leccino, and Pendolino. (The total polyphenols of ~645 mg/kg is the average of the olive oils tested prior to blending.)
Together these varieties create a robust yet harmonious style: Frantoio providing vibrant green fruit and peppery spice, Leccino contributing softness and gentle almond notes, and Pendolino adding aromatic lift. The result is an elegant extra virgin olive oil with fresh herbal character, balanced bitterness and a clean, lingering finish.
