About the producer: 
The Old French Road is olive grove on a 20 acre north facing site in Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula. It was established in 2000, and started producing olive oil in 2005. Jan and Niall have been at the helm since 2011, coaxing four varieties from their 1,200 olive trees: picholine, kalamata, frantoio, manzanilla.

Their oils are consistent winners at the Olives NZ awards, frequently taking Best in Show, Best in Class and Gold awards in competition.
